11th Annual CCQHA Horse Sale

Sale Time: 2:00 PM (after Sale Horse Preview and Colt Raffle Drawing)
The Cow Country Quarter Horse Association welcomes buyers and contestants to their 11th Annual Horse Sale & Futurities. This event will be two days packed with fun, excitement, and opportunity held Friday, September 3rd and Saturday, September 4th. The event will be held at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds in Miles City, Montana.

Friday, September 3rd
Breeders & Sale Futurities (10 AM)
The CCQHA Breeders and Sale Futurity horses will show at the same time, but judged separately. The classes shown will be: Yearling Lunge Line, 2-Year Old, 3-Year Old, 4-Year Old, 5-Year Old Team Roping (Heading), 5-Year old Team Roping (Heeling). The 2009 CCQHA Futurities paid out over $11,000.00. Many of the sale horses will be shown in the futurities, this is yet another opportunity to see them work.

Saturday, September 4th
Outback 4D Barrel Racing (9 AM)
There will be one run, time only. Dress Code Required. Money added as well as incentives for sale horses in the competition. New Point System this year: 1st-6 pts, 2nd-5 pts, 3rd- 4 pts, 4th-3 pts, 5th-2 pts, 6th on down-1 pt. Everyone who enters and receives a time (doesn't tip a barrel!) will receive at least 1 pt towards year end awards! For more information, contact LaVetta (406) 557-2313.
Sale Ride Horse Competition & Sale Horse Preview (11 AM)
Entries in the Sale Ride Horse Competition will be jackpotted. Winning horses must be sold in the CCQHA Horse Sale in order to receive prize money. For more information contact Doug Weeding (406) 557-2313. After the Sale Ride Horse Competition, the CCQHA will have a Sale Horse Preview in which any horse consigned in the CCQHA Horse Sale can be shown off to demonstrate its individual abilities.
Raffle Colt Drawing (before Horse Sale)
Win! Win! Win! The CCQHA Breeders Futurity will be raffling off an AQHA registered Yearling Gelding, A Hollywood Chex (Ranas Hollywood King x Dun Its Chex) AQHA# 52271914. A Hollywood Chex was sired by Ranas Hollywood King, winner of the 2009 CCQHA 5-Year Old Roping Futurity. Tickets are only $5 each, and can be purchased at the CCQHA Horse Sale or by calling Allen Munger at (406) 485-2109.
All proceeds from the raffle will go toward supporting the CCQHA Breeders Futurities. The CCQHA would like to offer a big thank you to Allen Munger of Borderview Ranch ( borderviewranch.com ) for donating the colt for this raffle.
CCQHA 11th Annual Horse Sale (2 PM)
The CCQHA’s 11th Annual Horse Sale will commence in the Agri-Sports Building at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds, in Miles City, Montana Saturday, September 4th at 2 PM.
This year’s sale has been limited to 70 horses, only selling Montana Raised Horses with a Future. Horses purchased at this sale become eligible for life to compete in the CCQHA Sale Futurities (in their appropriate age class). Also, many of the horses in the sale are already eligible for life to compete in the CCQHA Breeders Futurities (in their appropriate age class), creating the opportunity to purchase a horse at this sale that will be eligible to win twice the money!
New in 2010! If a horse does not sell in the ring, but sells in the alley afterwards, the horse will still be eligible for the CCQHA Sale Futurities as long as the sale is recorded and the commission is paid to the CCQHA on the day of the CCQHA Horse Sale.
New in 2010! Anyone purchasing a horse at the CCQHA’s 11th Annual Horse Sale will receive a free bag of oats! Also, the buyers of the high selling horse from each class will receive additional prizes!
